La LOPA è una forma semplificata di analisi quantitativa del rischio che mediante la classificazione della gravità delle conseguenze, la identificazione della frequenza di accadimento di un evento iniziatore e la probabilità di fallimento delle barriere di sicurezza indipendenti (o protection level) analizza e valuta il rischio di uno o più scenari incidentali.
La LOPA può essere utilizzata nello sviluppo e nella progettazione dei processi, nella valutazione dell’operatività dei processi, nella gestione delle modifiche di processo e nel decommissing.
LOPA è stato sviluppato intorno alla necessità di rispondere a domande come:
La LOPA può aiutare a rispondere a queste domande senza dover condurre un’analisi di rischio quantitativa completa e dettagliata (QRA)

E’ prevista una verifica al termine del corso. Al superamento da quanto sopra descritto verrà rilasciato l’Attestato di partecipazione al corso.
